The Biology of a Response
it’s amazing how I respond
to colours and shapes
as a primal response to the sun
shininggoldtriggersretinalsensors
neuronesfireupindelight
pleasure spreads in waves
as a primal response to the dark
grey black screams a warning
on alert my muscles tighten
and tingle
as a primal response to the hunt
small sparks trigger
curiosity
sensors
bright intelligence
asks my fingers to explore
I am a driven thing
